Overview
RiteLoop primarily uses local storage rather than cookies to store data in your browser. This policy explains what we store, why, and how it affects you.
Local Storage We Use
RiteLoop uses local storage in the web application to:
- Keep you logged in – Authentication data so you stay signed in across browser sessions
- Remember your preferences – Filter settings and display options for the Daily Rites view
This data remains until you log out or clear your browser data.
Cookies
We use no cookies in the RiteLoop web application. Session and preference data is stored in local storage instead.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the RiteLoop marketing site (riteloop.org) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 may use cookies for:
- Measuring site traffic and usage patterns
- Understanding which pages are most visited
- Anonymized conversion tracking
We use Google Consent Mode to respect your privacy choices, activate analytics only after you have given consent (where required by law), and do not use analytics for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can opt out via your browser settings or our consent banner.
What We Don’t Use
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies or pixels
- Third-party tracking for marketing
- Social media tracking
- Cross-site profiling
Your Choices
Clearing Local Storage
You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. This will log you out of RiteLoop and reset your preferences.
Blocking Storage
Most browsers allow you to block or clear site data. Blocking local storage will prevent RiteLoop from functioning, as we need it for authentication and preferences.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when we add new features or change how we store data. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
